The Crazy Story Behind “Lighthouse”
It all started on July 24th, 2016…
A special team of 6 people from GSOFT, called “The Avengers”, left the comfort of their Montreal office and crossed the Atlantic Ocean for a unique 2-week challenge.
The goal? Innovate drastically – Period.
The team traveled 6,196km, rented an apartment in downtown Prague, and immersed themselves completely in 2 weeks of intense innovation.
The plan? Build a product for Slack Admins so that they know exactly what’s going on within their teams, and feel empowered to do their jobs.
Why? We love slack, and we want to see more organizations using it. However, we feel as though the lack of management capabilities for IT departments will create major challenges for many businesses.

Are you affiliated with Slack?
Nope. Lighthouse is a third party Slack integration. It’s not created by, affiliated with, or supported by Slack Technologies, Inc.
Do you store sensitive data (passwords, credit cards, etc.)?
Nope. We only partially store monitored activities occurring in Slack.
How to install Lighthouse
Click the “Add to Slack” button, select your team, and you’re ready to go!
Do you have access to direct messages, private groups, or private files?
Nope. We access Slack using the token of the Slack Admin who signs up with Lighthouse, so we don’t have access to anything else. That’s right, even slack admins don’t have access to direct messages, private groups, or private files.
Does it cost money to use this bot?
After the 14-day trial period, Lighthouse costs $149/month for unlimited Slack users & admins.
